Tyler Technologies is offering a scholarship opportunity to Maine High School students via a mobile app design competition. These scholarships total $10,000.TA students are invited to the Open House to brainstorm app ideas, ask questions, or receive a tutorial on how to use some of the recommended development tools. On October 11, Thornton Academy students in grades 9, 10, 11 will take the PSAT. Seniors are encouraged to use this time to do college or job planning.

Thornton Academy's Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Hill Stadium (in the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to Linnell Gym; this decision will be made by 10:00 AM).
23 students from the Class of 2017 achieved summa cum laude status by earning a 4.0 or greater GPA.
Thornton Academy seniors Caleb Bailey and Ben Leary have been accepted into The University of Maine's College of Engineering with sophomore status through a first-in-the-state partnership forged to create a pipeline of Maine residents entering the engineering sector. Both students are completing a rigorous curriculum that has included Advanced Placement (AP) courses in chemistry, physics, computer science, calculus, foreign language, the humanities, history/social science, and English, as well as an Honors Introduction of Engineering course. First announced in 2013, this unique articulation agreement allows the students to complete 30 college credits, bypassing freshman year—an estimated savings of at least $24,000.
