The newest members of Thornton Academy's family have arrived on campus and are busy registering for classes, moving into their dorm rooms, getting to know the dorm families, and making new friends. This year we host residential students from over 20 countries.
Director of Residential Life Cathy Paradis and assistant Marcia Nelson have organized orientation activities that span a whole week before school begins and includes bank accounts, shopping, getting to know you activities, English testing, and more. Students meet their residential life advisors, guidance counselors Steve Turgeon, Melanie Serrano, and Kelley Hodgman-Burns, and school Nurse Danielle Tabor. On August 31, these students will be ready to join the rest of their TA classmates when school begins.
