On Tuesday, November 14, Thornton Academy will host a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser to benefit residents of Puerto Rico who are still suffering from damage from Hurricane Irma in September. The dinner will be held in Linnell Gymnasium at Thornton Academy from 5:00-6:30 p.m. All are welcome. Tickets are $10 for adults and children under 5 eat free. Additional donations will be accepted.
After being hit by Hurricane Irma almost two months ago, residents of Puerto Rico are still struggling to return to life as normal. The primary concern right now is access to clean, fresh water, but most Puerto Ricans still don't have electricity at their homes or businesses.
This event is sponsored by National Honor Society, Interact Club, Action Team, Student Council, and FLIK Independent Dining at Thornton Academy.
National Honor Society President Asher Thompson says, “We believe in the importance of helping our neighbors in times of need. There are many residents of Saco with family living in Puerto Rico. Aiding in the Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief efforts will support our community and provide comfort to the victims there.”
Show compassion. Join us for the spaghetti fundraiser to benefit Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief!
