Student of the Month
The Rotary Club of Saco Bay’s “Student of the Month” provides a way to recognize students who exemplify high ethical standards, have made noteworthy community/civic contributions, have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement or significant effort, and/or have engaged in other noteworthy accomplishments.
November 2016: Eva Sachs
The November Student of the Month for Thornton Academy is Eva Sachs ’17. Mr. Nelson nominated Eva for Student of the Month, noting, “Simply put, she is one of the most thorough, engaged, and serious students I have encountered in a long time. She is diligent, organized, and always prepared. Her personality is a wonderful combination of politeness, respect, and compassion for others–a delightful sense of humor and an optimistic, can-do attitude regarding personal achievements. She has excellent interpersonal skills, and these skills enable her to work well with others. Eva is also extremely humble. She is in National Honor Society, Interact, and Red Cross Club. She has been our number one female tennis player the past three years. She is one of the most well-rounded students walking the halls of TA and is very deserving of Student of the Month.”
