AP Bio Students Complete Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Contact Tracing Course
Want to learn more about COVID-19 contact tracing? Ask an AP Bio student!
The COVID-19 pandemic has created an increased need for contact tracers around the globe, requiring many people to learn a specific skill set very quickly. Students in Mr. Carbone's AP Bio class recently added some of these skills to their resume by completing an online COVID-19 Contact Tracing course through Johns Hopkins University.
The course explored the science of SARS-CoV-2, the clinical presentation of COVID-19, and evidence for how SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted from person-to-person. Students also explored how contact tracing is performed, and important ethical considerations around tracing, isolation, and quarantine. Upon completion, each student earned an official certificate from Johns Hopkins!
