Campus closed - no school on October 26
Dear families and staff:
We are shocked and saddened by last night’s tragic events in Lewiston. While shootings have become far too common on the national news, nothing prepares you for when it happens close to home. Our hearts go out to those affected by these horrible acts.
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. As you know, the person responsible for last night’s terrible events in Lewiston is still at large. Out of an abundance of caution, and in conjunction with Saco schools, we have decided to cancel classes today for both the Upper and Middle Schools.
Due to the circumstances, today will not be an asynchronous day. Please take care of yourself and your family.
No words can provide comfort at a time like this – all of us are struggling with the news. Our school counselors will be available in the coming school days for those students and staff who would like to talk about what has happened in our state. There is also a list of resources at the end of this message that might be helpful if your student would like additional support.
Please take care and stay safe.
Rene Menard, Headmaster
