Saturday Senior Spotlight: Esther Ofielu

Welcome to our Saturday Senior Spotlights for 2021! We will be highlighting a wide variety of Thornton Academy members of the class of 2021 and featuring their accomplishments in the classroom, on the athletic field, in academic competitions, in the arts, and out in the real world. We are so proud of the resilience and dedication of this class in particular and are excited to share their stories.

Today's spotlight features Esther Ofielu. Esther lived in Saco her first three years at Thornton Academy, but her family moved to Southern California this past summer. Esther was able to keep up with her studies and graduate from Thornton Academy using our fully remote option this year.

Esther been a part of the volleyball and lacrosse teams, student council, NHS, CLC, and participated in the Poetry Out Loud competitions at TA. This year she served as the Remote Student Representative in Student Council. Next year, Esther will be attending the Northeastern University to major in health science and psychology on the pre-med track..
