Congratulations to Sara Gallo, our new assistant athletic director!
In this newly-created role, Sara partners with Athletic Director Lance Johnson to oversee the upper school athletic program. Sara also manages the sports program at TA Middle School.
Sara began her career at Massabesic High School, where she spent more than a decade teaching math and coaching softball.
She joined TA in 2021 as a math teacher before stepping into the role of dean of students, a position she will continue to fill. Sara also serves as co-advisor to Thornton’s Student Council, where she helps students develop leadership skills and school spirit.
“Sara is eager to combine her background in academics and athletics to support our students in this new role,” says Lance. "Sara brings a wealth of knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to our students and their families to this role.”
