TA's 'Friday Night Bites' brings food, music to Main Street

Thornton Academy’s popular Friday Night Bites community event returns with food, music, and more on Friday, October 17, from 5 – 7 pm.

Offerings include a mouthwatering lineup of food trucks serving up barbeque, Jamaican, and Mexican favorites, along with Chili Pie in a Bag from TA’s Best Buddies participants, hamburgers on the grill cooked by the TA Athletic Boosters, baked treats from the TA Middle School Parent Group, and more.

WAVE Radio will broadcast live, and there will be performances by the Thornton Academy Pep Band and Dance Company, and the Fiddlehead Tinker Bus, a traveling maker space packed with creative STEAM activities, will be there for kids and families.

Headmaster Rene Menard will lead a “What’s New, What’s Next” Athletic Complex tour, and the TA Middle School (TAMS) will be open for interested families.

The event kicks-off homecoming weekend, which also includes the annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday morning

Proceeds from Friday Night Bites support the Thornton Student Assistance Fund, TAMS Parent Group, Thornton's Best Buddies chapter, and TA Athletic Boosters.
