You're never far from Thornton Academy.
The spire. The stairs leading up to Thornton Hall. Brick buildings and wood floors. Those teachers. Your friends. That class.
Graduates of Thornton Academy know that there’s something special about this place. The personal growth that occurs in high school is so distinctive that simply flipping through pages of a Tripod yearbook can initiate an outpouring of memories.
Being part of the TA family is something that lasts forever. It’s why our alumni continue to gather together in far corners of the world year after year.
Here are some easy ways to stay connected to Thornton Academy:
The offices of Alumni Relations, Development, Admissions, and International School Counseling are housed in the Alumni House. Students, parents, graduates, and friends of the school are welcome to visit, learn about the Thornton Fund, share student achievements, and ask about upcoming alumni activities.
The Alumni House was built in 1828 by Moses Emery, a prominent Saco lawyer. Thornton Academy purchased it in the early 1900s; it has provided a home for many Thornton faculty members and their families over the years. Renovations in 2001 allowed the building to provide staff with office space.
The Alumni House is located between the Headmaster's Home and Paul S. Hill Jr. Stadium on the Thornton Academy campus.
The Thornton Academy Alumni Association is committed to perpetuating lifelong connections among our more than 10,000 alumni around the globe. From our office located in the Alumni House on campus, TA staff aim to help you stay connected with your school and your peers by providing you with opportunities to network, socialize, volunteer, and catch up on the latest news.
