Visual Arts

Beginning in fall of 2014, TAMS students will enjoy a brand new art classroom! The visual arts program fosters creativity and establishes a solid foundation of skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture, which students expand on while in high school.

Trashion Show
Every spring, TAMS students put on a "Trashion Show" at the high school's Garland Auditorium. Fashion pieces are made in art class using repurposed and recycled materials. The 2014 show also included TED-style videos through which students explained their impact on the world in relation to natural resources and fair labor. The videos were created in coordination with a social studies learning unit focused on the global garment industry and Fair Trade goods.
