Edward O'Neill Gallery

Thanks to the generosity of Edward O’Neill, class of 1928 , guests visiting Thornton Academy's fine arts building can walk through a gallery and appreciate the installations of wonderful artwork created by Thornton Academy’s talented students.

The O'Neill gallery honors his generous bequest and his notable legal career in Washington, D.C. Mr. O’Neill was known for championing the rights of marginalized peoples, particularly the rights of American Indians, the mentally ill, and those living in poverty. Mr. O’Neill was awarded the 1997 Thornton Academy Distinguished Alumni Award posthumously.
