Thornton’s Dramatic Arts have traditionally been regarded as a highly developed program bringing ambitious theater productions to the greater Saco community. The Dramatic Arts are built on a curricular, credit-granting program that includes courses in Theater Basics, Acting and Technical Theater.

Thornton Academy’s Arts Department engages over 1,000 high school students every year. Funds from the Friends of the Arts help support the costs of running such an extraordinarily successful program.
