Thornton Academy Dance Program

The Thornton Academy Dance Program strives to enrich students through the art of dance and to create lifelong fans of the arts. Classes are structured to include technique, choreography, arts criticism, and history. Students perform several times annually as well as collaborating with other performing arts disciplines. Emma Arenstam Campbell directs the program, which produces three shows annually and travels regionally to perform. All TA dancers are enjoying the new dance studio in the historic Emery Building.

Become A Friend of the Arts!

Thornton Academy’s Arts Department engages over 1,000 high school students every year. Funds from the Friends of the Arts help support the costs of running such an extraordinarily successful program.
