Thornton Academy has and will always be a publicly funded middle school and high school of choice for families in Dayton. As a resident of Dayton, you are able to access a Thornton Academy education at no cost to your family for your child for grades 6-12.
Thornton Academy offers much more than a “one-size-fits-all” experience. We empower students to choose from more than 200 courses, 50 sports teams, 40 clubs, and 30 arts classes. Our educated, experienced, and compassionate faculty support you as you grow and discover who you can become. We celebrate both individual differences and shared values in a warm and welcoming environment where you can truly be yourself.
Thornton Academy Middle School (TAMS) continues to thrive, offering students exactly the kind of supportive and caring environment that is so critical during the middle school years. The preference for a close, personal, and individualized school community is exactly what many families are looking for. What is the Thornton Academy tuition price for Dayton families?
TAMS and TA are absolutely free for families living in Dayton. Students grades 6-12 from Dayton have always and will always continue to have the choice to attend Thornton Academy!
Is transportation provided?
Yes, bus transportation (morning and afternoon) is provided at no cost to the family for all students grades 6-12.
Are we required to submit an application to attend TAMS?
There is no application necessary for Dayton families. All Dayton families are ensured admission to TAMS, at no cost to the family, if the registration form is submitted by April 15.
If you live in Dayton, simply fill out the Intent to Enroll Form for Dayton Residents.
Are we required to submit an application to attend Thornton Academy (upper school)?
There is no application necessary for Dayton families. Simply contact registrar@thorntonacademy.org or 207-391-6304 to register your child.
