Tuition, Financial Aid, & Scholarships

Financial aid at Thornton Academy is determined by a family's ability to meet educational expenses. Requests for financial aid need to be made during the application process. Please send the International Financial Aid Profile form to admissions@thorntonacademy.org upon completion. 

The Admissions Committee is unable to consider requests for financial assistance after admission decisions are made.

The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

• Award amount: ranges from $2,000 - $15,000
• The scholarship must be applied for at the same time as application for admission.

• Award amount varies from $2,000 - $15,000 annually.

Thornton Academy’s UNE Community Scholarship is available to the children and stepchildren of all benefit-eligible employees of The University of New England. 

• $2,500 per year, renewable as long as the employee remains benefit-eligible and the student remains in good standing 

• No additional scholarship application is required 

• May be combined with other scholarships and financial aid
