TUITION

Financial Aid

Qualifying for aid is a highly-individualized process. Thornton Academy is proud to use the Clarity application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. We invite you to learn more about the Clarity application in their 2024-25 Family Application Guide.

International students are invited to fill out the Application for Financial Aid document, which must be submitted in conjunction with the application for admission. This form can be found in the Admissions Portal after students submit their application.

"Investing in our son's education has always been a priority.  Investing in private school was not something we had planned for initially and we were uncertain if it was the right path at first.  The Admissions Office put us at ease and helped us through the financial aid process. He has thrived and it was the right choice for our family." - L. Marcotte, Parent

Scholarships

Thornton Academy offers merit-based and other scholarships to our students. Our goal is to make a Thornton Academy education financially accessible to all interested students. Many of these scholarships require a supplemental application, and some also require the Clarity Financial Aid Application.

Our admissions staff are happy to assist you through the application process. If you'd like to speak with us before you submit your application, call us at 207-282-5383 or email us!

As parents, we are so often faced with difficult decisions. Having our kids at Thornton Academy has been undoubtedly one of the best decisions we have made so far. It is a close-knit community with many great opportunities.
