UPDATE: The Thornton Academy Players travel to the State One-Act Festival this weekend at Windham High School. They perform Saturday, March 24th at 1:00 and compete against 8 other class A schools. Come support our thespians as they compete for a state title!
If you would like to support but cannot attend, we are looking for donations of snacks, drinks, etc to feed the kids. Once they get to the festival they stay at the High School- which has no food service on the weekends. Please click the button below! Thanks- here we go TA!
The TA Players are hosting the regional one act play festival on March 9th and 10th. Nine schools from Southern Maine will each perform a 40 minute play, 6-9 p.m. on Friday, 12-4 p.m., and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

1920. Its coal tipple standing where once there were trees, the Blue Star Mining Company owns the valley. If coal is king, the people of the town are peasants, working like slaves in dangerous mines, paid in script, indebted to the Blue Star for life. Mary Ann Rowen has buried 4 sons and does not want to see her only remaining boy go into the mines. A stranger, Abe Steinman, tries to organize the miners into a union, but is betrayed...
The Thornton Academy Players will perform their show on Friday 3/10 at 8PM. Be prompt as MPA rules do not allow for late admittance to any show! Tickets are only available at the door.
