Student Life

Explore your passions with new friends.

Thornton Academy is a close-knit and diverse community of thinkers and doers. The vibrant campus bustles with activities and events. We are close to the ocean and not far from pristine forests and mountains. Our four pillars of respect, responsibility, compassion, and investment define who we are.

With a large and welcoming student body, Thornton empowers those in our community to stretch outside their comfort zone, join a new sport, start a new club, or try out for a school musical. Whether it is in the classroom, in the dormitories, or on the playing field, at Thornton Academy you can be who you are and become who you want to be.

Be Who You Are. Become Who You Want To Be.

It gives me a sense of fulfillment, knowing that kids end up seeing this place as home. We are coming through on the promise that we make to these students. As a parent myself, I would want my child taken care of the way we take care of our students at Thornton Academy.

The best part of being a student at Thornton Academy is the big range of opportunities we get, not only culture-wise, but academically, and the people here. There's always so much going on!

Thornton Academy allowed me to discover myself throughout the years I was there. No matter what activity I did at Thornton Academy, it was always something I enjoyed.

The way to make Thornton Academy your home is to let yourself be vulnerable and tell your story. There is someone who will listen and share theirs with you.

The other girls in the dorm and I are really so close to each other. We are just like a little family together and celebrate everything together, because there are girls from all over the world.
