Lego Robotics Summer Camp

June 24-28, 2024
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thornton Academy Middle School (TAMS)

Open to students entering grades 3-6

Join Thornton Academy Middle School for a fun and engaging, one-week camp immersed in the world of Lego robotics. Using EV3 and Spike Lego devices and programs, campers will learn how to build, design, and program their robots for new challenges each day.

Camp Details

Campers will work in groups of two to three, and use both EV3 and Spike Lego robotics devices and programs to carry out various challenges, such as fastest robot, slope climber, strongest robot, and an obstacle course. Each morning, campers will start off with the "Event of the Day" and brainstorm various components needed to design and program their robot. Campers will then have the rest of the morning to build, design, and test their robot. Each afternoon, we will end the day with a friendly competition between the groups. Members of the Thornton Academy Middle School (TAMS) Robotics team will be on hand as helpers to support campers with programming and engineering their robots. Campers will need to bring their own lunch and water bottle each day.
