Update: Rain is forecast for Saturday, so our Auction will be held in the Atrium of our Arts Building.

This year’s auction will be held virtually for online bidding May 15 - 19, 2023. The auction concludes with a live, in-person, outdoor event on May 20, 2023. Our hybrid event gives our supporters the best of both worlds - an opportunity to gather in-person while still giving our alumni and friends from afar an opportunity to participate and support our students!  

  • Virtual Auction | Monday, May 15 - Friday, May 19, 2023 

Guests of our virtual auction can enjoy bidding on silent auction items from the convenience of their own home, a live stream of the raffle drawing, an easy check-out process, and a customizable auction dashboard that helps you track our items of interest. The virtual auction is free to all participants.

  • Live Auction | Saturday, May 20, 2023, 5:30 p.m.| Indoors in the Atrium in our Arts Building

At the live event, our guests can enjoy delicious food and drink, bid on exclusive and popular silent auction items, an exciting live auction event, and a live raffle drawing! Purchase your tickets advance for the in-person event from the online bidding platform. 

In the event of extreme weather, the in-person event will take place in the cafeteria. Live auction tickets are $20 and can be purchased online in advance from the online bidding platform.

Purchase a Raffle Ticket
Enter for your chance to win one of our 7 generous cash prizes of $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000! A limit of 500 tickets will be sold. The drawing takes place on Saturday, May 20, during the in-person event, and will be streamed for the virtual audience. You can purchase tickets in-person at our Development Office, from 8 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday. Questions? Email development@thorntonacademy.org. We'll even deliver to local addresses. 

Fund-A-Cause Supporter
Our annual fund-a-cause event is available for donation from the online bidding platform or by raising your paddle during the live event. This year, we are asking for you to make your gift in support of each student of The Headmaster’s Student Assistance Fund. Your donation to this fund provides free breakfast and lunch to our food-insecure students, as well as providing assistance for resources like, home internet or technology accessibility, sports equipment, eye glasses, and much more to our students who need it most.

As a donor or attendee to our auction, you will become part of something truly special—a long-standing tradition that Thornton Academy students have come to depend on—our annual auction.  Our auction continues to be Thornton Academy’s only fundraising event; it funds critical programming, expands academic opportunities, provides free breakfast and lunch for students in-need, and enhances campus life. Simply put, for 15 years The Thornton Fund Auction has helped each one of our unique students to Be Who They Are, and Become Who They Want to Be. Thanks to contributions from our donors, community, and friends, the Thornton Academy auction continues to be a success year after year.
